DS1 & LoA Technical Support

The Mod I'm working on is causing this exception error, but I can't figure out what I need to 'fix' (no errors given by DSLOAMod to tell me..) in order to get rid of it for good:

Has anyone tried to get DS1 and DS2 running under Win8 yet?
I'm about to upgrade my laptop drives and I'm trying to decide if I should bite the bullet and start learning 8 since I'm starting to have to support it, but I want to know if I'll be able to run DS1 and DS2 under it and how painful they will be to get working.

Just installed DSLOA again and had forgotten about the graphics corrupting bug until they zapped my char with "a gift of mana". Siegenetwork use to have a fix posted on the forums there, but the link is now dead. Does anyone by chance have this fix on hand that they would be willing to post? Thanks in advance.

Completed the game, (60 hours of sheer brilliance!!)
Now I plan on getting into the Enhanced Levels of the game,
via some DSLOAMod tweakery - However, I'm hitting a gremlin..

Gremlins are OK, if you're into Gremlins (don't want to start a riot!!)
- Me no like gremlins..!!

It occurs during the load-up sequence of DSLOAMod
I'm doing the "Ignore Always" trick (Nature magic?)

The day this is posted, and the day before I have been having massive problems with internet connectivity. Coincidentally or not, this is the same time I resumed playing "Dungeon Siege" and "Dungeon Siege Legends of Aranna". However I have not been doing mere playing. No, I've been finding mods all over the internet for the game, and not only do I have it on MY laptop, but my sister's laptop. I put in the Dungeon Siege Disk to start up the game, take it out, and use it to start up the game on my sister's laptop, therefore we are able to play together online on one disc.

these past weeks, dungeon siege was working fine and i was enjoying every second, then, one time, when i finished playing, i just switched off the power without properly shutting down, after that, when i start dungeon siege through the shortcut, the screen goes black and dots appear at the lower left side of the screen, I've tried installing it again but i just keep getting the same result, any ideas how to fix this?

I have come to peace with the fact that my computer is slowly deteriorating in performance, however, it will not run 2 (3?) of the best games ever.
First of all... Dungeon siege and DSLOA Will not run. I have them both completely installed on my computer, but when I double click the icon or select 'play' from the disk menu, it won't even begin to run. It hows the hourglass on the cursor for a second, then it goes away and does nothing. I even left it running overnight to see if it'd boot up. I've restarted over and over, changed the compatibility a million times.. But nothing.
