DS2 & BW Technical Support

I'm using the Steam version of DS2 with the Steam fix. I recently found out that it has nothing to do with mods as it does the same thing in every map without mods activated.

I have a question, two actually .... Does anyone know what the DIR.LQD files do, and are they redundant and unused in a finished and tanked map?

I could be wrong, but they only seem to do anything when you're useing the editor, and they do sometimes cause problems. I have run the same maps both with and without the LQD files, and haven't seen any difference. In fact, if there a conflict between the GAS and LQD files, the map runs better without them.

I've been playing the Steam version of DS2 and I used this guide on the Steam forums to unlock Broken World. I've not modified the game in any other way.

My nephew is playing DS2 under Windows 10, and it just started giving a strange problem. When he starts the game, it puts up the blank screen with the progressing dots, then minimises itself. Clicking on the button to restore the window leaves him with no control over the mouse. The cursor location goes to a corner, and won't move.

I can't reproduce these symptoms, having tried messing with bad ini settings and other possible causes. Anyone have any ideas?

On my Win 10 laptop, it just works, even in wide-screen mode that the game was never intended to support.

Hello, everybody!

I'm playing Dungeon Siege 2 and I made my way into the Mysterious Cave. I killed those annoying prairie dogs, the evil companions and entered the rooms where I can see the staff of the game as NPCs - I even got the sword from the Colombian guy.

Here's the problem: I had to quit and, when I tried enter there again, the room where the evil companions should be is missing! The area where they should be found is completely black and doesn't even appear when I check the map using tab.

The game runs flawless in the other areas, though.

Hello everyone. Recently picked up DS2 BW again and playing it with the Aranna Legacy mod (u), inventory mod, supershops mod and a few others that only slightly change the game. I've always played the game with that kind of combination of mods for years without any problems whatsoever.

Damn its one problem after another, I've found time for Suki to continue her adventures around KoE but have hit another problem using ElysDS2AllSaves.

I've reinstalled the Legendary mod and ElysDS2AllSaves_v1 and there are no problems with that, but when starting DS2 the game throws me out just after the GPG intro ends, its probably 1 or 2 seconds before the main menu displays.
