Valley Peek v7.5 uploaded

v7.5 moved starting positions back to barn as was having trouble with resurrection placing heros on the map not moving. Added Bloodlust the siren, added evil versions of the hireables and the evil pillow squad lol just for fun. changed 3 gray chickens to red and white chickens, changed the 2 mules to be evil kicking mules. lowered summon of the spawns to max 3 to lessen the amount of number of monsters filling the screen and slowing the fps, which seems worse around the inn for some odd reason.

v6.6 moved starting positions out from original area, fixed a few monster spells so they wont break barrels, gave Son of Valdis some new spells and summons and increased his mercenary level health, changed some of the Rock Beast levels to be 40ish, hopefully they wont be level 21 now :p.

v6.2 bug fixes for Valdis and prairie dogs, tweaked the monster stats a little, added ds1 skeleton hireable but not sure Bones will join yet. Edited conversations to save 100k.

Like the Lich's. The start location is a little crowded, depending on how long the battle takes and if you have items that increase treasure drops things can get a little slow.

The one Mimic next to the house is far enough into the wall/chimney area as to be untouchable with melee.

There are a couple of red dots in the air there that are too high to actually attack

Bone Minions are either taking way to long to activate or are not activating.

The flag kept Son of Valdis from falling down :jawdrop:

The level 15 Elementals as well as the Level 18 and 21 rock and Ice beasts need beefed up to match everything else

Everythings coming along nicely :thumbup1:

thanks again for the notes, much impressed with your bug reporting skills Smile Trying to keep it like the original the start locations are 8 but ds2 uses 6, I think I will move the start locations next update to another location on the map that's safer.

the mimic is originally a barrel in the original, I will try to move the mimic out in the next version...hehe although its kinda amusing a character cant hit it with melee... Tongue me just making excuses Tongue

the red dots in air are probably Vultures, I cant make them fly lower, I may need to move them inward on the map away from the mountain area so they can at least get to your hero. perhaps the map needs farsight for better chance Tongue

Bone minions use a reveal, they have to climb up from the ground the anim is very slow, they don't spawn immediately after the barrel destroys, I may have to remove the reveal all together.

the flag of valdis isn't working right quite yet, future wise that is what I want to be the spot that makes the game goto veteran....but at least u have proven to me he is killable now so that's a beginning, I not sure what Valdis death anim uses he may not even lay down on ground, I will check him out in the anim viewer and try to fix that in next version....he probably should have a few spells since his combat spells aren't working...

The level 15 Elementals as well as the Level 18 and 21 rock and Ice beasts need beefed up to match everything else --- they are using the ds1 conversions level, I will have to make new templates for all them then to make them 38 - 40, this may take time to update. I would also like to make them spawn Elementals instead of the lava beasts in the future, this mod will get bigger over time...

I probably wont be updating till after 15 april, cause I got to get may IRS taxes done first.

yes when I loaded Vix, he was in the barn and the other 4 were in Cathedral.... I have 6 starting points in the barn and 6 in the Cathedral...it just so happens the game loads the first 2 in the barn...since the chickens are nearby, even starting inside the barn makes the 2 heros in the barn a target...so may have to either move the chickens or remove the barn starting points, I would prefer to remove the barn starting points and just use the cathedral.. in the future I would like to make a quest for the PetSeller where if u kill a certain evil barn animal u get a Mothra for free, but that could take time to do......

Mage Lyssanore is busy for me as well not sure why she is busy, seems she does that in Act 2 of DS2 as well...I will need to edit her template and fix her as I want her magic shop to work, for spell and pots buying.

The red dots may be Prairie Dogs that use Ripple, trying to get the Editor to rotate the map to see them on the cliff, is hard... I will keep trying to fix them

Summoned Vampire Bats are suppose to be Melee Bats but if they didn't fly down and attack u then they aren't working right.

Valdis Death Anim he dies standing up. even in Act 3 of DS2 the Eye shoots through him he is standing up, not sure, may have to use his fall on the ground anim instead, the ds2 anim viewer takes a while to load each anim to see what is best. But at least u killed him, he probably should have more health and defense and attack if he is dying but not sure cause he aint as tough as the real Valdis.

The Inn is a deadly place, I have seen Impale spells shooting from the floor, and nothing would be around.

I still need to fix the Mimics, they are suppose to summon a mimic as well, but the summon must not be working, I forgot to move the Mimic in the burnt building area out, that should be fixed in the next version maybe.

I may be moving a few other things for the next version and changing a few monsters as well, so be prepared there will be another version in the next week.

nope, not npc mercs lol

The Vampire Bats were diving down to attack, they are just hard to see. They hover for a moment which is the shot I posted then dive.

The Impale spells hitting the the party from nowhere on the first floor are coming from the Mimics on the second floor
