A question I can not answer

A young friend who lives in Africa was given a computer by a missionary group. This computer has DS2 and broken world on it, that was a shock. Would have thought they would have purged the old files and installed new ones. Anyway here is the question can broken world be played without first having to play DS2? If yes how and if not why not? It is something that never occurred to me to play BW without first playing DS2.

yes bw can be played cause it came with premade characters that could start in bw. however not sure if they can do veteran or elite without beating valdis in ds2 so not sure using premades is good. but worth a try. also it had ds2 and bw on it but wont it still require the cds?

Thank you DE I had forgotten that premade characters could start Broken World on the first level. You are correct in that you must play DS2 to get to level 2 and 3. Yes the game does require a CD. I will have to ask her if the computer came with CDs or not since she can play the games. Now I will have to look into how premade characters are done so I can send her the Cat Mansion Mods with a premade cat mansion character Smile

Elf

just add one via mod, u can make characters any level that way

However Dark Elf I am not sure what is required to add an additional premade character. I tried to look at all the files related to the premade characters but could not open some of them. Think my brain is going because of all the cat herding.

Laughing out loud rofl so they did not dban or wipe the hard drive and reinstall the os before giving away the computer? lol that can be a security risk for the missionary group if they used the machine to handle their financial data or other personal data about their members, donors or people they helped.

or it cud also have all the data from the previous owner still on it and that can result in identity theft of the previous owner of the pc. tsk tsk people these days are just so careless with their personal data...

reminds me of the time techie found pr0n in his customer's computer LOL!!!
