I think it does need a seperate skrit, yes. Not knowing that much about skrit, but with the summon NPC spell mod there is a seperate skrit so that you don't earn "experience"by using the spell as you would by casting a summon gargoyle spell for example. Plus, if you have a summonable party member you don't want them to fade away.

I borrowed the skrit from the summon NPC mod to try out with Toto for my own private use...and renamed it to work with my spell. If my project ever gets released for public use, I am going to have to make sure it is ok to borrow that skrit by trying to find the author and of course give credit for his (or her..but I think him in this instance) work.

My suggestion would be to look at that summon NPC mod and see how it was done...maybe you can write your own skrit (I don't know how, but I assume you do) and simply credit the author with "inspiring you".
