Looking at the demo's resource files, one of the main reason for the large installation size is because of the voices & movies. Plus the demo's dsmap is 70 MB in size, which is far larger than the Kingdom of Ehb's & Legends of Aranna(both 47 MB) and not much smaller than the Utraean Peninsula's (92 MB).
Sound files take up a large amount of space, for instance Star Ocean: Till the End of Time comes on two dvd's 8O , basically because all the dialog is spoken.
