I’m just setting this up here as another place for feedback on the CMDMod. I understand it will take a while for comments to role in, but I want to set this up before I forget so that there’s another place to write comments, questions, and suggestions.

Music from other games in siegelets (and heroes)

Hi, guys. The title pretty much says it all. I would like to ask, what is opinion of the community on using music/sounds from other games in custom DS maps? I would like to use music from Empire Earth or Serious Sam 3 for example, but I would hate to be banned from the community for violating copyright rights. How do you feel about this? Is it allright, or should I avoid that?

Deleting Objects Once They Leave the World?

Really quick, is there a way (in Dungeon Siege 1 LOA) to delete an object, specifically monsters, once they leave the loaded world or the frustum?

Importing Jungle Assets into Vanilla DS Siege Editor and DS1 Resources

Does anyone know how to go about the subject successfully? I know Xaa did this for Mageworld, because Mageworld was built compatible with Vanilla Dungeon Siege.

I tried extracting from the expansion's tank file into my bits folders, but whenever I click on the Jungle assets in the editor that show up, the editor crashes saying some error with nodes_misc.gas.

THIRD Alignment in Dungeon Siege 1?

So in Dungeon Siege there are 2 main alignments (good and evil), and 1 neutral alignment, which simply doesn’t get attacked by either. My question is; is there a way to make an EXTRA alignment that attacks both good and evil? Or some kind of other thing like that? Any way to create it manually or set AI to that? I was thinking maybe something along the lines of teams in multiplayer.

Update on the Sword

In the quest to make a talking sword.

Objects can be made into triggers.
And conversations can be triggered by world messages.
we req activate and equip and so on.

But this requires the conversation file to be loaded
from an object nearby on the map.
You couldn't leave the area and still talk to the sword.

Catalog of terrain nodes and GOs? (DS1)

Is there any way to preview DS1 terrain nodes and game objects, on their own? I'm designing a map and I find myself slogging through a vast number of terrain nodes to find just the right one I need. The naming helps a bit, to a point, but it's still a matter of trial and error, selecting a target node, rotating it, fiddling with it, etc. to figure out if it will work as I intend.

A viewer, preferably one that can rotate nodes in the same way that they can be rotated in SE, would be a huge time saver.
