Playing with DS2 Wolfies (v8)

Hi DE,
I decided to try out the DS2 Wolves. They are very cool and I have in my party both blacky and snowy. Using my test map I fed them until they where unable to eat another bite. When full grown I did find them a bit overwhelming, do to their size. They are taller than my Human and Dryad characters.
Not an issue because the bad guys take one look and quickly run away or hide

Now back to DS2 to find the other wolfies and test them out.

uploaded alpha 10 prior to reading this... looks like I need to reduce their adult size maybe if u say they are bigger. The wolves are nature, combat, melee or ranged depending on which ones u pick, I made them to be replacements for the original pets so their growth feeding bonus will be similar to the pet I replaced them with. but the wolves all have same size on the growth. also may reduce the starting size. don't think these wolves will have the movement issues we have in ds1, just power and aura, and spell issues. I wish I could implement the job_follow.skrit of ds2 in ds1, and the petshops would make the ds1 mod a lot better

I was just commenting on how large they are when adult. I like wolves of any size. Heck DOG is almost as big as the DS2 wolves when you compare the humans to me. Dog's tongue can lick my face without having to raise up body, just tilt his head. Elf

Along with having Taar joining the party we now have a melee wolf, a nature magic wolf, and a combat magic wolf. This is the first time in a very long time that I wish that DS2 allowed for more party members! Six just is not enough well eight isn't either. Oh well will just have to change non-wolf party members as required to advance the game.

Playing more through DS2 with the Wolf Mod (v11) Met Vix at the Kithraya Caverns so I sent Taar, Sandy and Blacky to the inn and added Vix and Cotton Candy Currently at teleporter between upper and lower caverns. Like the names of cotton candy's spells. That is exactly how I feel after eating the stuff.

getting them in shop was easy making powers and auras that work for them is hard...i may be changing Cotton Candy's spells some, not sure i want hers to stay green but they different none the less

We have made it to the Western Cliffs of Azunai on our way to Winstone Fortress. The Wolves Snowy, Purple Rain and Cotton Candy are holding up very well. I got tired of Vix only being a swordsman so have slowly been converting him to a Combat/Nature Mage. That has been very helpful since Taar is getting drunk at the inn. Blacky and Sandy have taken up doing tricks for wolf snacks, outside the Pet Seller's building. Think I will visit DSLoA again and give DS2 a rest for a few days.
