As a matter of fact, i am NOT poor! Evil I can make up to 300$ a week in fixing peoples computers as a HOBBY, and im only 14! As I have very little expences, this adds up very quickly! :x

He's not rich. Mommy and daddy are. Laughing out loud

WRONG AGAIN! I paid for half, as I agreed with my parents. The computer was 4600$, so i would NOT call me POOR. :x

DO NOT insult me in that way again, as the consequences will be VERY dire indeed.
Being poor is not in my personality, I do not know WHERE you would get that idea.

Quit acting like concussed trolls and get your facts straight. :P :P :P Laughing out loud

Relax. Being poor is not an insult, not a personality trait, nor anything to be ashamed of. You have your own money: great. I think it's fantastic that you earn some $'s providing a valued service... but don't let your ego (or insecurities) run away from you. Lord_Claw_II's comment was obviously a statement of envy, and not intended as an insult.

I am glad the somebody understands. Smile I just take it as a great insult to be thought of as poor. Wink

Oh never mind. If I were to tell you the answer to why i thought that, I would be subject to even more scrutiny, some might even find my answer to be snobbish) :P

I used to be so poor, I couldn't even pay attention! Okay, I heard the groans and that was a very bad pun. When I was a newly wed, my (now) ex-husband and I were very poor. It is simply an economic state and not a reflection of character. People are nice or unkind due to what is in their hearts, not their wallets. But then you guys knew that, right? Laughing out loud

*my snobbish answer*

I always assumed that because I had money, people liked me more.

If rumors spread that i didnt have money (not true) I thought that people wouldnt like me anymore, that is why i got so upset, I assumed that my friendships were in jepordy(spelling?) Sad

Well, if you will forgive me for saying so, I think your answer is more due to insecurity than snobbishness. If people are "friends" with someone only because of finances, than they are not truly a friend. A true friendship is based on caring, not money.

I think you are mistaken, even the best servers have only 64 GB of ram each, so for a common computer to contain that much RAM is absurd. Perhaps you meant that the hard drive was 120 GB. That seems more plausable. Wink

Gah thats it lol not very computer smart...

all i know is that I have Geforce 6800 with 120 gig also I have a 3.00 ghrtz Celeron Processor and 1 gig of ram
not to shaby for a poor highschool jock lol

I would be fairly certain he means a 120gb hard drive. Also the plain geforce 6800 did come with 128mb of ram on it, the gt and ultra versions of the 6800 came with 256mb of ram or if the 3rd party vendor beefed it up to 256mb to try to stand out from their competitors.

TAS,
I asked this question so you might challenge your self-perception... to prompt you to take a look at what you believed, and think about it. I do this frequently... it's where wisdom comes from (with time and life's experience). Judging someone on their financial position is superficial and wrong... just as wrong as any other prejudice (prejudgement of someone by demographic / stereotype, vs. individual attributes).
Cool

I'm sure we've all heard this saying before, but I'll say it nonetheless because I seemed to be at work or sleeping, or something during the whole discussion. :o

The saying goes something like "you can buy friends with money that don't last, or you have lasting friends without money.."

Hmm...I seem to have forgotten the point of the saying...

Quote:
He's on wellfare from me. I give him money every week as long as he keeps his minions making spells for Derelict, and around the circle goes.

Also, TAS, I don't quite see how you could see my comical post as mean. I didn't call you poor at all. I made a joke that I was paying you to have your minions make spells. I don't see how that is insulting....unless you do have minions of some kind who do make spells who do get paid. It's no reason to bite my head off nor do the same to my peers on these forums or on instant messenger. Even now that the situation has been resolved, as I can see via the forums, I feel you shouldn't become so hostile towards your friends. You know I know for a fact that you aren't poor, as you've told me times prior to this. So, again, no need to get hostile towards myself or the good people of SiegeTheDay.

Also, please don't send me messages yelling and screaming at me. I don't know if anyone else got one of these, but I don't appreciate it, certainly from you. I introduced you into SiegeTheDay, after all. If you wanted me to apologize you could well enough ask. I wouldn't even have a problem apologizing to you in private, or in public if need be. Besides, I don't Kathy wants her forum turned into a battle ground. Wink

Well, no. Smile In the future, let's assume that people are teasing, not engaging in mockery. Making fun of someone by mocking them isn't nice, but teasing friends is one of the perks of being friends, IMO.

Teasing example...
See, I know Fb is teasing me here, because he knows how old I am.

*cough* Yes it does, grasshopper. Wink

So, let's consider the matter of who yelled at whom or who did what settled, ok? Smile
