Hello there, aim4it. Welcome to StheD. When you say confused by the DS2 engine, does that mean you are a modder?

My friend and I just started modding DS2. The plan is to make a mod of the game where you'll be playing as Valdis. :twisted:

No, it will still be based on a normal melee template (no 900,000 hp), however, there will be new skills that allow you to summon multiple morden of different classes, such as an archer, or pike captain etc.

I suppose I should purchase Dungeon Siege 2 soon then, eh?

I would be suprised if I get DS2 before Christmas. The demo and beta worked on my (family) PC, but lagged horribly, and I couldn't finish the demo. I need a new video card, although the graphics do run (sort of) okay... looking at the screens, my comp wouldn't run BW.

Well, my dear FB, you would be mistaken. I bought it yesterday and played for a little bit. I guess I will need to play some more to fully form an opinion....But you know, that "You Maggot" stuff got old very fast....

DS2 Engine is more processor heavy then video heavy, even BW only supports shader 2.0

Whats this? Processor speed I can handle- my processor could even handle Oblivion according to their minimum system requirements- and it just supports shaders 2? I might just be able to run it.... I think I could avoid the initial crash problem that I had, especially seeing as theres a couple of patches... Now, to find that obscure little store that was selling it for NZ$50 without a sale... ($100 is the usual price here, our dollar is quite high, for now....)

Yes (free market economy and all...), but $100 NZD = about $61 USD... which isn't unheard of for games (although overpriced IMO).

Over here, 70$ bought me the Half life 2 special edition, which came with a stratgy guide book and a t-shirt, along with the game being on 1 DVD rather than 7 CDs.

Edit: (The game Half life 1 was also included.)
