What is wrong with me!?!? :?

I can name several topics that people stopped posting in just because i scared them off!
http://std.seijsing.se/forums/viewtopic.php?t=308
http://std.seijsing.se/forums/viewtopic.php?t=239
http://std.seijsing.se/forums/viewtopic.php?t=243
I do not think that it is natural for all of these topics to die, just because i said something remotely stupid. I think that it is doubtful that I just happened to be the last person to post in those topics. Sad
Sometimes they just ignore my posts and keep going.....

I feel so unimportant.......... Crying

It is very hard to say Templarian Arch Sorcerer why people do or do not comment on what someone says.
I cared about it once upon a time what people thought about my blog, my comments, my forum posts and the mods I have created. However after someone wrote to me and told me that a mod I had created was broken because the armor would not equip on a male character when the readme file clearly stated "FOR FEMALE CHARACTERS ONLY" and the mod was called girl armor. I decided that people only read what they want to read, understand only about 20% of what they do read and most often comment on the 80% they did not understand.

Therefore now I write comments in forums, I write in my blog and create mods for my own enjoyment, if it so happens that my comments or creations make someone think, wonder or giggle so much the better but it is not the end of the world if nothing happens Elf :horsedung:

Looks like I'm one of those people

Am I the only one who reads and understands everything that people type?!?!? 8O

Arman's picture

Nope, I understand it all, too. But mostly I just don't want to read. :P

LoneKnight's picture

I always read and understand what people type....

Also, I have heeded the rule of "Don't make something to make others happy, make it to make yourself happy" for several years.

Hmm, 4 foot, 11 inches, bare? Woah, that's small. 6 foot 2 inches.

As i am fairly new here, i try to make others happy. For example, I spent 30 minutes putting together screenshots as a part of my question in the Q&A thread. I assumed that the content in my most, the happier people are. Crying

hmm, 4' 11"...................That is normal for an elf, according to the D&D books. Cool

On a side note, the person who plays Professer Flitwick in the harry potter movies is only 3' 6", and he had the part as an ewok in the star wars movies. :P

TAS, I don't think it is a question of you scaring people off or that you aren't important. Sometimes people don't post in a thread if there is nothing for them to say, or if they are busy, or if they are tired...the reasons can go on and on. Point of fact, what is left to say in the SN being hacked thread since as far as I know there is no news left to report? Actually, no one has posted in the song lyrics thread for a week...sometimes folks just don't feel like it for whatever reason.

Days go by and people don't comment in threads that I have started both here and at a few other forums, and that is just the way things are. We have no idea what is going on in someone else's mind, why they post and why they don't. Lots of times people don't comment on things I have written in my blog (Well, elfy usually does, sometimes firebat and sometimes even mr solly sol77 will Wink or Sharkull) Your opinions and posts matter, and you shouldn't let it bother you if folks don't always keep threads going. I hope you feel better and golly, feel free to read my blog and leave a comment... :P (joke, you don't have to. Smile )

My best friend is 5" tall. I wuv my chihuahua. He can sit in the palm of my hand, thats how small he is. Hes surprisingly fast for his size. I throw large marbles and he fetchs them. :P His name is Drak. He is about 2 years old and according to pet sites, he can have as much as 15 more years left. 8O

Now who dares to say that is not "elfy" Laughing out loud

He sounds indeed "elfy" TAS, almost as elfy as Elfy herself. Little dogs can live very long lives, and are cute. I used to have a little dog named Nicky but he wasn't as small as your dog.(he was about 20 pounds) The dog I have now, Dillon is a medium size, 75 pounds. Ask Elfy about her "dog" who's name is "Dog"... Laughing out loud wolfy! (lol, he is a real wolf and very handsome...)

Heh heh, any excuse to show off a picture of wonder dog...

Drak is petite and cute, Dog is a handsome wolf, but I bet they cannot drive a car like my Dillon! Laughing out loud

This is the Half-Life 2 Robot ally "dog". He is about 10 feet tall. beat that for a big dog! :P

No, but he can throw a car at your enemys. Laughing out loud

Well, that would be a useful skill indeed... :P

Went to the driveins again this past weekend. They showed Poseidon and Superman Returns. Well, it was a nice night and off in the distance was a fireworks show.
(My area is hilly, and being high up makes it a bit easier to see off in the distance.) Smile

Mmm, movie snacks!

Well, we didn't get to see these films...

Um, Ok.... (?)

Akward because... do you not like movie snacks? Or did you like Superman Returns? It wasn't a bad movie, but it wasn't one that made me scream "OMG, I have to see this movie!!!!!!!"

(sometimes we compromise to make folks we care about happy...)

Hi Kathycf

talking of adverts.. this one's quite smart http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/honda.php

- no computer trickery or special effects used, but still very clever... Cool

Hiya Blondin! That was a cool ad. Smile

Sharkull's picture

Yeah, I like those kind of chain event type set-ups... (reminds me of The Incredible Machine). BTW, were those tires rolling up a ramp?

LoneKnight's picture

Yes, those tires seemed weird. I think someone shoved the first tire up, as the camera cuts off part of it.

That ad is from a couple years ago and if I remember correctly they filmed that all in one take. :o

Loup_Ombrage's picture

Thats one of the coolest ads I've seen, and certainly better than the ones that I've seen the past few months.

Templarian Arch Sorcerer's picture

WOW! nice physics! Cool

LoneKnight's picture

Indeed. There are some websites that I have seen entirely devoted to similiar videos.

For the Americans, how did you enjoy your 4th of July holiday?

For the non-americans, how did you enjoy your 4th of July? Wink
