A Game of WHERE AM I

I was sitting here wondering just how many people who visit the site have played Dungeon Siege, Dungeon Siege Legends of Aranna, Dungeon Siege 2 and Broken World and just how many maps they have played in each version of the game. I know I could ask the question in a poll, but decided this might be more fun.

This is a game we used to play on Herena_Forge and a few other sites years ago.

The rules are simple I will post a screen shot.
Then you will tell me:
1. Which Game (DS1, LoA DSII or Broken World)
2. Which Map I am playing.
3. The location on the map that the screen shot was taken.

The person that gets the right answer will post the next screen shot and so on.

So here is the first Where Am I Screen Shot

Kaishun by Charietto was the correct answer. Sorry for delay, was very busy today. Smile

Upping the difficulty a bit with this picture.

EDIT: The teleporter and surrounding flora will give clues to where the screenshot is from.

EDIT 2: All you need is the map screenshot is from. Area/region do not matter. Smile

Maybe a crytic clue for those who may not know (I feel I'm disqualified from answering this one which may be a clue in itself).

I'm new but been around forever.
I've been there but you couldn't reach me.
But now you can if you look.
In the land of wizards over the sea.

I will give someone else a chance to find this place since I have been there three times before I give this clue to you.
I come after a place where Travelers stay
but before a hole in history.
If you go to where I lead.
the eyes will notice yes indeed.
Iryan found what the designers forgot.
I was 1 but now I am 2.

I see 2 people know where the screenshot is from. Very nice clues. Smile

If either Iryan or Bare_Elf want to post a screenie we can keep this game rolling. Smile

Okay PhoeniX I will have to do exactly that, well unless Iryan gets to it first. :P

Okay here is the next Map to guess at. The map is a true DS1 map and has no custom resource file. It is only necessary to name the Map. But if you know the town the hair stylist is in that would be cool. If you where playing this map you might giggle at the translations from the original language to English. Note that the party members can sit in chairs.

After we had our hair and nails done, we hunted zombies, then at an Inn we met a young woman who told us her prince was missing. We must find Prince Valium quickly before he falls asleep again. Then we will visit the house of lost play and maybe the other country.

Is this the "World of Demons" map by Psychogun?

The author of this map and the name of the map are the same (well almost). I have hired three characters so far, Clarinda was first, Mr. Duster was second, and Udolpherik was third. Are there any others? Maybe these screen shots will help.

Elf

Drat. After looking at the screens, I am pretty sure which one this is, but I will wait for someone else to take a turn.

SteelsWorld?

It's not Steels World but you are on the right track Smile

Make the starting jump from "S" to "T" for the map and author. (If I am not mistaken)

PhoeniX wrote:

The second jump would be to replace the "T" with an "A"

Oh owl toes was that to much help?

Talon's World is the place where we all want to be.

It is Talons world

Something is missing.

But should not be too difficult.

I guess the blacksmith went to lunch, or maybe it is his day off? Could be a blacksmith's forge from just about any map and any city in DS1 or LoA, about the only place this shop does not appear is in the DS2 and Broken World Maps.

Yes but there's some clues if you look closely. The path's pattern, the house and character standing on the porch behind the blacksmith's forge and the fence and cart behind the forge on the left. Even the fog is familiar.

All looks like Elddim from the good old Utraean Peninsula in DS1, minus the blacksmith of course.

Elddim from LOU is correct. Was from my LOA Cutie Girl Revived mod. Zabar was visiting sick relatives.

Zabar should go open a deli. I'm weird, so bear with me, but his name always reminded me of a restaurant.

"Come to Zabar's for the best in corned beef and don't forget to pick up a side order of swords."

Kinda on topic: I remember that Zabar was missing in PhoeniX's version of that map. I wandered around looking for him for a minute. Love those sunglasses, btw. Smile

Here's another one, should be easy as I don't have very many pics to choose from that hasn't already been posted.

It looks as if we are in the same location, except you are in DS1 and I am in DS2

There for I would hazard a guess and say. It is Dungeon Siege 1, and you are in act 1 of Yesterhaven.

Quite correct. I had to start a new game to get the pic. Most of the pics I take are technical ones not scenery. So I started a game in DS1 just to try to make it a little less obvious.

This map has more bridges than any map I have seen before. In this map the 90% of the winged dragons walk, maybe they are lazy.

The character creation screen conflicts with both Succubus and Cat Mansion as you can see.

Is that the Torian Chronicles?

Here is a place to chill out and shop:

.
.
Uh oh, watch out for those ogres!!

I know where Kathy is but I think I will hold my tongue and give someone else a chance. How many shopkeepers are there?

bare_elf wrote:

There are about 12 or 13, though a couple of them sell the same stuff, including monster spells.

Shopping mods is for grrlz. How would us guys know about those?
