Q&A

o_O No one has started this yet? The board's been on for *checks watch* 5 or so hours! What's with this world?

Thanks to Wizardo55 for the last SiegeTheDay one!

Well, now, who wants to start *in announcer voice* ANOTHER QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS BOARD? Cool (that was a question BTW)

Sharkull's picture

My thoughts wouldn't be purely time travel, but more of a suspended animation of matter, so that it (the matter) was somehow unaffected by time. Objectively, real world time would pass very fast, but the matter in suspended animation would be unaffected by time's relatively rapid travel (subjectively instantaneous). How this could be done is still theoretical: things like approaching the speed of light, or chilling things down to absolute zero...

Are you watching any world cup soccer / football?

LoneKnight's picture

A. Nope. Like most Americans, I'm ignorant of that sport. Hehehe.

Q. Do you think SiegeNetwork will come back?

Not unless a powerful cleric by the name Lisa Hui casts True Resurection upon its dead body. Crying

Q: If you could pick a weapon to kill a lich with, what would it be?

a: a double bladed sword
b: a shruiken
c: a staff that calls down meteors as a side effect when you hit something
d: a dagger that causes an implosion around the target
e: a twig

Loup_Ombrage's picture

A double bladed sword, provided it is enchanted or made out of silver, dwemer, or similiar (I've been playing MW a bit much lately).

Where did Loup O's question run off to?

Templarian Arch Sorcerer's picture

Sharkull wrote:

I do not know, but for my question i would choose answers c. or d.

I recently started modding NWN, and a couple of my items are:

Templarian Darkblade, one of the many effects on it is to casts implosion on anything it hits. If they fail a DC 25 save vs death, they are sucked in and die.

Staff of the Templarian Arch Sorcerer, on hit = cast meteor swarm, cast sunburst, cast earthquake.

All of the items have significant amounts of lore and story behind them.

so, really i was referring to some of the item sets i have made.

Now, becasue i was answering shark's question, i will post one.

q: What is the funniest thing you have ever seen?

[/off topic]
[on topic]

Your face (sorry couldn't resist :P)
Seriously though (I think), it'd probably be my friend come in through a door and trip over a brick, which was against the wall, which was away from the door. I still don't know how he did it. Oh, and a great many comedies, like Monty Python and Faulty Towers and Rove Live (Aussie show) can be quite funny.

What sports teams do you support most?

None, I don't watch sports unless it's soccer or fighting(kickboxing, boxing, UFC, ect). I don't have any favorite soccer teams though. Maybe Italy, but I am out of touch with soccer. We need more soccer in America Sad .

What is the best video game you have played(can be from any time period in your life)?

Arman's picture

Dungeon Siege I and Morrowind (with the expansions). And possibly Oblivion, when I get it. Age of Mythology is a good game, too.

Do you think we can make it to world peace?

I doubt it, war is good for buisness....
.....and buisness is good for everybody!

If we do, however, it will be when we have to band together as a planet of one race when we start interacting with other planetary races.

It would seem that right now, our race is divided. They shall not visit us until we are one, like them. Cool

Q: What is the brightest laser that you own? (it should say on the danger label)
Mine was rated by a machine at 96 Mw. The average pointer is about 2 - 5 Mw.

LoneKnight's picture

Currently my Death Star v2.0 is my strongest laser...

Q. Do you think Steven Hawking Pro Wheelchair would be an awesome game?

Templarian Arch Sorcerer's picture

It would be very....amusing.......

q: How many computer accessorys do you have? I have 11.

Strider978's picture

Other than standards, (mouse keyboard) I have a wacom tablet, webcam, second monitor, and game controller.

Any big summer plans?

A.) Not much, I have a standing "date" to go swimming with my neighbor, we just bought a little gas grill for cookouts and we go to the drivein movies alot in summer. (When sjr drives down with his big ol' car that is Wink :P ) Some "old" lady I know has her birthday next month as well, but I am trying to forget about that...

For the next person:
Q.) Please tell us what book you are currently reading and play a little game as well. Open the book to page 33 and go to the last line on the page and quote it here. Smile

Loup_Ombrage's picture

I am currently reading Noughts & Crosses by Malorie Blackman. The last complete line was "Why didn't any nought I knew of live in a house like Sephy's?".

Its a very good book, the noughts are people who were treated as slaves until a few decades ago, and have only just been let into schools, whilst the Crosses are the so-called "superior" race. While it might sound sort of familiar as a history, it is set in this day and age.

What was the last song you heard?

Templarian Arch Sorcerer's picture

Fur Elise by Beatoven. :?

If you could summon a Templarian artifact, which of these would it be? Arrow

(OMG, the trouble i go to, to make you guys happy :P)

I made all of these for NWN. Cool Let me know if you need descriptions on what an effect is.

A: I like the Templarian Darkblade, so that would be my choice. I have this thing for nifty knives and daggers. ^^

Q: Could you please not post so big images when you directlink. It breaks the layout of the board. Wink

AAA! what happened to it??? its corrupted now! 8O

q: Can you imagine what happens when i wear all of that stuff at once? Well, the only things that are actually "difficult" are mithrel and adamantite golems, or special Templarian liches that i made with a challenge rating of 82 (The meanest dragons being about 27)

A.) What happens? Complete and utter mayhem I imagine! Laughing out loud

Q.) Who wants an icecream sundae and what flavor do you like?
( I will have a hot fudge with coffee icecream and plenty of whipped cream Smile )

TAS, try this freeware program to resize your pictures. Irfanview.
http://www.irfanview.com/

It makes them smalller (the resize/resample option) without losing image quality, and then they are easier to post and smaller as well (easy to upload, as well Smile )

A: I want a Huge Gold Chalise filled with half cookie dough ice cream and half redi-whip (spray whip cream - full of air)

Q: does that program resize without detail loss? (like on CSI, they zoom in on a tiny spot in a picture and then make the pixilation of detail go away)

Templarian Arch Sorcerer wrote:

A.) It resizes but still keeps original proportions and the quality is still very good. For an example, see my post in the "Chatty Kathy" thread re: Dillon. That picture was originally over 1 mb in size and was something like 1700x1300. Now it is much easier to post online and I kept a copy of the original on my harddrive ( I sometimes use it as wallpaper Smile )

Q.) What other freeware programs do folks use? (like Irfanview)

Templarian Arch Sorcerer's picture

MwSnap300 - great screen capture program, with a bunch of other tools built in.

Download accelerator plus 8 - The accelerator doesn't really work, but the file shredder built in is useful for getting rid of sensitive files and such without any chance of it being recovered.

Avoid - Prank program that makes your start button run away from the mouse

Crazy NCS - Prank program that makes the num - caps - scroll keys flash on and off at random intervals. Makes it impossible to type anything correctly. Laughing out loud

Clippy - Prank program that makes that annoying paperclip assistant pop up on your desktop and say useless information like "I see you have been using your mouse", "Sometimes i popup for no reason, like now", "Your moniter is operational", or "It appears you have Internet Explorer installed on your system, you can use that to find things on the internet." Many other things are also said. There is also the ability to create a clippy.txt file to make your own phrases for it to say.

q: You have just killed a dragon many times larger than you (12-fold maybe), for proof, you must take its head back to town. What do you do to take it back to town without using any machines at all?

A: er, you could ..shrink it and put in a bottle..

Q: is anyone playing Titan Quest? Cool

Loup_Ombrage's picture

Can't vouch for anyone else, but I'm not.

What is the oldest, non-Windows game on your system? (i.e. not 3D Pinball, Hearts, Spider Solitaire etc)

Scorched Earth 1.5 :o

Q: What is the smallest cell phone that you have seen? I think mine is smaller than yours!
Mine is only about 3.5" by 1.2" by .5"! HA!

A: I've seen one about the size of a matchbox - guess that must be the one you've got..
I don't carry one myself - nor headphones (ipod or whatever..) ghastley things..!!

Q; Is anyone listening to Wolfmother?
http://www.wolfmother.com/2005.html

 A.) Not really my kind of music, sorry Blondin. (I actually had to go to the band's page on myspace to hear a clip, none on the main website that I could find...)

Q.) What did you have for dinner tonight?

Templarian Arch Sorcerer's picture

Pizza.

Handmade crust
Goat Cheese
Pepperoni
Fresh Garlic
Fresh Spinich

MMM, its good - and it costs 16$ in the fancy resturant i went to. Laughing out loud Laughing out loud
Im sure it would cost less to make my own fancy pizza, but i like theirs. Wink

Q: Design your own elaborate pizza. Try to make it realistic, and not outlandish.
(I know this is not a question so...... :?: :?: :?: ......now it is.)

Loup_Ombrage's picture

Hand-made or pita bread crust (pita bread makes a nice, crispy, healthy crust), mozerella (sp) cheese, (but not too much of it), chicken, pineapple, ham, garlic, spicy apricot sauce, tomato sauce or similiar for the base, smoked salmon, peppers....
OR
Pita bread base/crust, yoghurt instead of cheese, apricot sauce, cranberries, bits of feta cheese, blueberries, rasberries.... I've actually had a pizza like this one and it was rather nice.

Do you like country/blues music? (Not neccissarilly (sp) old country/blues...)

Loup_Ombrage wrote:

A.) I like some songs here and there, by some of the newer country artists, although Patsy Cline had a really beautiful voice (old style country music) Some blues songs are ok, but it isn't something I totally go out of my way for.

Q.) It is Friday...any plans for the weekend?

(MY pizza would have a nice chewy crust with a light tomato sauce, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, sauteed mushrooms and maybe some spinach and broccoli. Yummmay. )
