8O Did I miss a few topics? Not everything that you've posted in the last two days was crap IMHO....
An apology is nice, but a permanent improvement in post quality would be nicer.
Hmm, I must have missed something...Were we supposed to only post items of quality and erudition? /me insults herself permanently then with the introduction of the non-quality "insult PAM" game thread...
Just joking... Not everything we post is supposed to be, um..., "non-crappy", right?
Theme threads are welcome (
), as long as they don't violate the site Rules, and are in the correct forum (OT). Posts in such threads should be within the spirit of the theme though... (that's how you can be Off-Topic in an Off-Topic thread... like not asking a question in the Q&A, which is not nice, but is not a rules violation at all, just poor etiquette).
(The following is a general comment, NOT directed at anyone in particular).
Post quality = how much a post contributes to a discussion (contrasted with SPAM, troll like behaviour, or just posting for the sake of posting...). The forums are meant to be fun for everyone, and "quality" is such a subjective term that getting more specific is difficult. Site staff want SiegeTheDay.org to be a friendly fun place... and certain types of behaviour is discouraged accordingly. Obey the site Rules, mind your manners and abide by common forum etiquette and you shouldn't have any problems.
What ive noticed is that the posting of non related DS stuff has basicly taken over this site. Most being posted in the others catagory. I not against having a good time with buddies on the web I just saying what game is this site for again?
We could name this site the "fuzzy bleu cheese cow farts site" and it wouldnt really matter, as long as people enjoy coming here. That is all that matters. :P
Yes, most (if not all) members here play or mod DS/DS2, but there's only so much DS related posting going on... so the Off Topic forum is a great way to keep the forum alive, and enrich the community experience here. I expect that BW will bring up the number of active DS related threads, but until then some forum fun can help keep things interesting...
Oh, and it does matter what the site is called. I would never participate in a site called "fuzzy bleu cheese cow farts site". :roll:
There isn't much activity nor discussion going on for DS1 because I think alot of people don't play it anymore ( I do
) and I have avoided the DS2 threads because I did not own DS2 until a few days ago and I didn't want to accidently see a spoiler. ( Well, I knpow I wouldn't because of warnings, but you can't discuss a game you don't play...)
I am not a modder (the armor mod I posted on only featured ideas and designs by me as well as Bare_elf and all the "modding" work on that is done by her.) I enjoy DS very much and like being here in the community, but how much can one post on DS? That is why there is off-topic threads, I guess. As Sharkull says, it keeps the forums busy and alive.
I belong to a literature forum, but we don't discuss Shakespeare or the Brontes all day long. The general chat (off topic chat plus games) are the busiest parts of that forum.
I don't think you've been posting "nothing but crap" for tha past 2 days. Hell, I haven't seen but one or two pointless posts by you period.
