I do believe I have the tutorials on a hard drive somewhere if those are also required.

Elf

Thanks. I remember this old thing! It could come in handy for editing ds1 meshes for ds2. I can't remember, but are the animations for ds2 from the old ds1 bones? It seems like it since the meshes are working on ds2 characters. Perhaps we can do some animating.

It asks us to register to get a user identification code. It's of course too old to register. Maybe there are some codes online.

I think so but you would be better asking iryan, and alphaDD write to alphaDD and he will answer you. he is here alot and reads all.

Looks like we can register it legitly here:

Edit: I just tried it and it worked. They have the tutorials and Gmax there too. I just assumed it disappeared because Discreet stopped supporting it. It works with Windows 7 as well.

I will find the link and post it.

It would appear the old DS1 meshes and bones can support DS2 animations as in further testing with the meshes I introduced into DS2 yesterday, I found that dual wielding works. I haven't tried the throwing animations or any of the more advanced animations but I suspect that they should.

Perhaps this shouldn't be surprising at all since I know that Witness's Light and Dark Elf model can use DS2 farmgirl's animations (as can Strider 978's Orc). The Gargoyle, Skeleton, Goblin and Naja can't as they are specifically DS1 models. DS2 Male and Female Heroes would appear to be just extensions of the original farmboy and farmgirl models so all/most of the original bones still exist. Don't forget also that the Cat Mansion Boys and Girls model was based on the original farmboy and farmgirl model and so uses their bones for animations and so why they work so well in DS2.

I have a few new ideas that I plan to test and hope to release a test pack of the DS1 armors for DS2 very soon so you can play around with those if you like.

TurboSquid provides a serial number with the download, per their site.

There is a workaround for the whole Turbosquid registration.
A couple of .reg files updates the registry.
After using it when starting Gmax, just click continue and it starts up normal.

I put them up at my Google drive:
