On the site I linked in the blog post there is a color box at the top of the page to choose a custom color. Also, Color-Hex has a page devoted to specific --> Color Names <-- which I assume are colors that are commonly used, although I am not quite sure why. Some of the colors listed aren't very attractive.
Lemon Chiffon, My bad. I thought here on planet Earth lemons were a bright yellow.
Lavender Blush To me that looks like grey. I see no blushing and not the teeniest hint of lavender.
Thistle looks more like a (blushing) lavender to me. Or maybe Plum.
Another thing is something I never paid attention to or noticed. Some "paint" programs often supply the color hex number.
Here I have Paint.Net and PhotoFiltre7, with colors I picked by fiddling with the palette. Both programs are free. Microsoft Paint does not have this feature, but programs like the Gimp {also free) probably would.
