I tend to agree with that as well, but I think character is also a good measurement of an individual. How kind is someone? How caring and giving are they? Do they try to make the world better (even in the smallest of ways)? These are important also.
I measure character to determine if I like them or not. Evil achievements impress me as well. Does not mean I agree or think that person is good. Example: Hitler's achievements to be the most blunt. I'm also impressed with England, Russia, and American achievements in that war. Franklin D Roosevelt is probably the only president I like for character. I don't like Hitler's, Stalin's, and /gasp Churchill's character but all of them had impressive achievements. That's from my view love/hate is subjective.
