DS2 & BW Technical Support

Hello, i need some help. I can't seem to get DS2 in Windowed mode i did everything I could fullscreen=false width = 1280 height = 1024 and in game i get this http://www.imagebam.com/image/7600e7354164808 and when i low my desktp res the game crashes even if i change it to fullscreen=false width = 1024 height = 768

I used to play DS2 just fine on my machine. However after resetting the PC and reinstalling DS 1 + 2, I have a strange problem. When choosing a new game, clicking on any option but "head" doesn't result in any change. Even more, clicking on any of the other customization options results in all panels becoming unresponsive, i.e. I have to tab out and kill the game. U5 Lazarus and U6 Project also don't work (U5 shows the same problems and choosing a new game in U6 results in a black screen after character creation with music playing and the sword cursor still active).

I'm not sure if this has been answered in this forum, but I am having FPS problems with BW. DS2 is working fine and I get around 100+ frames when playing the game through its launcher, but within the game launching it from BW renders an average of 14 frames.

Some info about my system:

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_gdr.130318-1533)
Language: English (Regional Setting: English)
System Manufacturer: MSI
System Model: MS-7751

As some know, there are some issues with "Broken World", issues like low frame rate or some freeze.

And I'm wondering if there are any ways to disable or totally remove the display of damages over the monster's heads.
I've made some research on this but it doesn't seems to be linked to the UI.
Is it an effect or something else ?

If anyone have an idea it could be nice.

Anyone else having issues doing much of anything in windows xp mode.

Just a word of warning that possibly you may have problems running DS2 and Broken World if you upgrade to Windows 8.1 or purchase a system with that version of Windows.

I had absolutely no problems running DS2 on Windows 8 until I upgraded to 8.1 yesterday. At first I couldn't run any games at all, surely a very sad state of affairs. Manually installing Direct X 9.0c (automatic installation doesn't work as it says you already have the latest version) and upgrading the video drivers to the latest version fixed most of the other games.

I have recently started a new playthrough os DSII using KillerGremal's Hotfix mod. Everything was going smoothly until Taar stopped casting healing spells. She did at first, but not she will not cast a healing spell whether it is autocast or if its her actively selected spell. It is driving my craaaazy. Do you know what I need to do to fix this?
