Note: This is an early alpha version and is very much a work in progress. ***************************************************************** *Requirements / Compatibility - Two versions available, a lite version for those players who already have the cat mansion mods (both girls and boy mods are required in this case) and a full version for those players who haven't tried the cat mansion mods before or have difficulties with managing a lite version. - Dungeon Siege 2 Broken World - Elys' All*Saves for DS2 or BW is also a requirement. - This mod won't be very friendly to many other mods, especially any that change starting characters, npcs or gameplay mechanics. Full compatibility not tested. ***************************************************************** *Installation Instructions Copy the DS2BW_Adepts files to the Broken World resources folder. For Alpha versions please remove previous versions of the files first. ********************************************************************** *Removal Instructions - Manually remove the DS2BW_Adepts files from your Dungeon Siege 2 Broken World resources folder ********************************************************************** *Gameplay Changes/Additions - Compilation of 27 mods and parts of mods from some of the best DS2 and DS1 modders around as well as a lot of new and original work. Much of the mod has been converted from DS1 mods and artpack resources. - Anime style playable characters and npcs - 850 new skins for playable characters and npcs (no more Abdon, Kentigern or Tehruth clones) - 350 new npc portraits (no more Abdon, Kentigern or Tehruth clones) - New armor (over 400 types) - New Weapons (over 250) - New spells (over 150) including 34 evocation spell discipline (autocast attack summon spells) - Monster auto levelling support (Monster_level_Adjust_Mod required) - Minor UI changes - Quivers for ranger gear - 6 Slots for mercenary/veteran in both DS2 and Broken World - Auto-equipping of gear and adjustment of levels/skills for recruitable characters - full party auto-engage support (activated by turning on DS1 automation in the game options) - Chapters are now unlocked for DS2, meaning that they can be completed in any order prior to entering the Agallan Trial (for which you need all 4 aegis pieces). Need monster_level_adjust mod for this to work as intended. - First Two Parts of Broken World are unlocked and can be completed in any order up to Danadel opening Solanum. - Tutorial is bypassed. Start in Warden Celia's jail with the ring of submission. - Alternative tutorial which was originally created for the game but superseded by released version ********************************************************************** *Bugs/Missing/Not Implemented/Known Issues - Tuning of npcs (ie sitting npcs not in right position) - Some NIS sequences are messed up due to animation problems/lacks - Balancing of weapons/armor and spells - Many planned features - Alternative tutorial start has no quests recorded (in different format) - If you hire Drevin and then use portal he'll be dragged with you. He'll be removed once the next save is loaded. - Portal from end of Act 1 to Aman'lu lacks a mood - No hint at start of Act 3 (just go and talk to Lord Kalrathia to start questline in that Act) - If Part Two in Broken World is completed up to defeat of second surgeon, Part One needs to be completed up to at least obtaining Celebhel's soul stone before Danadel will open the portal to Solanum - Auto equiping gear doesn't work for Eva, Vix and Driandul - Recruiting Celeb'hel hasn't been tested - Some armors not displaying correctly on female characters (ie Aqua Robe). ***************************************************************************** *To do/Help appreciated - Fixes, balancing and quality control - Revising skins/armors for all npcs ********************************************************************** *Tank Priority - DS2BW_Adepts_Logic.ds2res and DS2BW_Lite_Resources.ds2res (no matter what version) will always be 32767 priority Otherwise the mod will break when used with the separate cat mansion mods. - DS2BW_Adepts_Full_Resource.ds2res (no matter what version) has no priority apart from timestamp. ************************************************************************* *Version History: Alpha 1.0a (April 27th 2013) - First private alpha release Alpha 1.0b - Further minor UI changes - Spell tweaks & fixes - Hero selection unlocked - Amren's and Drevin's NIS sequences fixed - New icons for Amren, Drevin, Vix and Celebhel Alpha 1.0c - Further fixes - Catmansion spells added - Monsterlevel adjust mod and auto-engage mods removed from compilation (still supported though) Alpha 1.0d - Further fixes - Preliminary though buggy support for the DS1 Map Pack - 22 new offensive summons added (works like autocasted spells) that are called grimoires to try to differentiate them from traditional summoning spells. Objective is to add a different aspect to regular summoning (would work great with a mod that enables multiple summons) - Cat Mansion mods directly incorporated into this release for testing purposes Alpha 1.0e (May 13th 2013) - Fixes some npc skins - Fixes some missing armor icons - Removed Skull Tundo (texture not showing up) - Fixes Explosive Powder, Acid Gas and Acid Cloud - Evoked Summons should now work properly all the time (simply added guard = false in the summon block) - Tested to start of Windstone Fortress (all quests and npcs work) Alpha 1.0f (May 22nd 2013) - First Public Alpha - Two versions- a complete version and a minimal version for those players who already have both of the cat mansion mods - Cat Mansion version of Half-Giants and Dwarves - More misc fixes - Most recruitable DS2 characters in the outpost of Broken World are now recruitable if they haven't already been recruited (except for Amren & Taar). - Tested to Aman'lu - All characters slightly resized so they sit in chairs better and floating icons display better - Cat Mansion spell casters fixed and more summons addeed (total of 26) - More Evocations added (total of 34) - Added BW_Auto_Engage Mod back into compilation - Added Drianjul Don't Cry Mod and Catmansion update Alpha 1.0g - Fixes critical error with Taar's and Finala's talk flick which would prevent progress Alpha 1.0h - Added 50 unlocked armors and weapons from DS2 & BW used by monsters and npcs - Updates about 30 inventory icons Alpha 1.0i (June 5th 2013) - Fixes Broken World starting recruitable characters (if you haven't already recruited them) - Adds 50 odd character portraits to Dwarves and Half-Giants including Lothar, Sartan and Yoren - Monster weapons drop from monsters alone (not fully tested) - Character boosting from talk flicks again (thanks to KillerGremal). (note the existing resurrect spells and scrolls have not been changed) Alpha 1n (June 29th 2013) - Quick fix for guns' weapon damage and missing active icon - Fixed incorrect equip requirements for many of the monster weapon drops Alpha SE1 (July 1st 2013) - Special Edition version to test the unlocking of the main campaign which means the chapters can be completed in any order prior to the Agallan Trial, for which you need the 4 aegis pieces to proceed. - This feature is largely untested outside of controlled testing, which by it's very nature can't test for every eventuality and the check prior to entering the Agallan Trial hasn't been verified at all. - Tutorial bypassed. Alpha 2a (July 13th 2013) - Rearrangement of pieces required for the entry to the Agallan Trials - Sanctuary Doors temporarily adjusted to take in consideration the changed level dynamics - Some unique and set items levels adjusted - Loot drops changed slightly - Shop lists modified slightly - Extra large weapons now have ability to all randomly cast shockwave to stimulate their ability to hit multiple targets as befits their extra long reach and counterbalances their slow speed and amount of inventory space required. - Unlocking of main campaign quests tested and proven to be worthwhile - Alternative tutorial level with optional bypass to start immediately in Eirulan - Most recruitable characters now auto-equip appropriate gear for their level (except for Vix and Eva). Alpha 2b - 6 slots for innkeepers in Broken World (in case anyone uses any of the premade characters) - Shop lists changed slightly for Broken World - Some experimental spells and rings (healing, experience and immunity rings, ring of the dead added to shops, haste and hastega, silence and reveal treasure spells - currently don't have their own icons).
