What projects are you working on?

Hi everyone. From spending a lot of time on the IRC channel it sounds like there are many projects planned or already in the works. How about writing something brief about what you are doing, even if it is a small project, so the rest of us can keep tabs on what's going on? It will give us something to look forward to. Smile

Currently doing some mapping for strider for his christmas mod, when thats done i'll do more work on my as yet unannounced unconfirmed...rumored mod. Which will be annouced and confirmed sometime when I get around to it.

Almost done writing a rather lengthy tutorial on getting chants to work on a new map (including a functional incantation shrine).

I'm also playing around on a little test map, learning how to do a few things (I might release it at some time in the future...). Smile

Writing random little skrit tidbits right now. Mapping a huge dungeon out also for OI/AoM. Writing random VB proggies for AoM and.. I finally figured out how to add in on-hit stuffs so you may see a sweet spell mod come out with new alterations like % chance to cast Lightning on hit! mm mmm Smile need to learn some flick though so it looks cool hehe.

im about 67% done with v0.7 of my Auto Engage (AE) mod. this mod improves the default player char behaviour and AI cuz i've heard ppl complain about party members standing around doing nothing and refusing to attack aka moronic AI. This mod attempts to reduce/minimise such occurances. it also adds a certain degree of automation to combat so you dont need to keep clicking like CrAzY since excessive clicking on your mouse will cause hardware damage. yes, too much clicking can potentially damage your mouse. no sh1t. it will also cause hand, finger and wrist injury. try clicking on ur mouse non-stop in a marathon game and u'll know exactly what i mean.... you'll find you can hardly feel your hand anymore... im also working on a mini-mod that changes the combat magic skill, brilliance, to raise mana regeneration instead of raising max mana. i did this mod for 4 reasons:

1. Nubs on gamespy think i cheat when my lvl 88 combat sorc has 8208 mana. With less mana, those nubs wont think i cheat.

2. Crunching huge numbers kills the cpu and frame rate. No wonder ds2 lags.... cuz of the high hitpoints the monsters have.

3. Im a regen freak LOL

4. to prove that skills are not hardcoded. previously, i thought skills were hardcoded into the ds2 executable but thanks to elys' valuable guidance, she told me they werent hardcoded and showed me how to change the skills via skrit.

i plan on releasing these 2 mods on HF sometime next week.

My team and I in Texas are currently starting a brand new world (with many new spells we like the DSLOA spells a little better) We will currently start on the 18 of December and are planning to have 2 towns w/quest done by late January, early Febuary. We still would like some more ideas to encourperate into our game so PM myself if you have a qustion or comment.

Well, that is a great question.

Currently, I am at a semi-pre-release stage of my mod called Essentials. I just asked GPG 4 questions at the Garage, and all 4 have been answered, so not only do I have to play-test my mod, I am now going to have to yoink it, and work on 4 small mini-projects to add to Essentials. I am SOOOOO happy to be back at modding again. Good to keep the brain occupied with an amazing hobby.

NOTE: Once my mod is complete, I will be looking for a host; OC at the Forge has allowed me to post it there, perhaps I could post it here as well? I will keep this in mind when it comes to release time.

I'm working on nothing official.........but in my free time i'm doing "something". If it ever will comes so far that it works.............thats the question. All i can say is that i have already used my previeuws objects, nodes and more in it ..........and a story is in it as well, yes it is. We will see. do not forget it's freetime work and that i do not have so much and coding will take most time for me. It's my weak point, but i'm not in a hurry.

Yes yes, christmas has come and gone and yes I failed to deliver. Real life unfortuantly grabbed me and sucked the energy right out of me, so I have no idea when it will come out actually.

Its not canceled but due to my current work schedule I won't be able to give the quality of work that I want on this project and therefore it is postponed till I do.

Working on Chicken World II. I have a Beta released on my site. Try it out.

I must get back to making the Abstraction Succubus Queen into a fully playable character.

I've been building myself a semi-TC for my latest Lara Croft look-alike based on some of the DS2 map with a bunch of new and changed mobs and NPCs. I don't know if I'll ever release it (too much sex to balance the violence) but I'm having fun trying to get the game to do what I want it to do.

Thanks, I plan to have an alpha version out soon. I used DS2 level designing as a project for school. I had only had 8 weeks to work on it though and need to make a video presentation by tomorrow to my peers and chair of my degree.
